Part came in that I was waiting for, so I had a few beers working on bae tonight.
Surprisingly enough the cheap-as-fuck-ebay part worked! I have a functioning hvac fan again. Also got around to fixing my inner fender that kept popping out of place and replacing a bulb.

Nice car! Dont see many crossfires around. Theyre neat cars. Is it a daily driver? Any specs or stories to share?

Yessir, its my DD with 125k miles on it. But its all stock except for an exhaust cutout. I just like driving/snow drifting it.

I'm seriously thinking about buying one, and it's all your fault.

I've heard they were pretty much the same guts as similar vintage Benz. Is that true?

Completely true. I've read somewhere that the officially number is around 80% Mercedes parts. Its pretty much a reskinned SLK with the suspension tightened up.

I may have to look into getting one of those one of these days. What's the experience of owning one been like so far?

Thoroughly enjoy everyday. But I have the highest mileage one around so I've been doing some maintenance to it. Its all been pretty basic over 100k miles routine stuff … and luckily parts are cheap too since everything is shared with more mainstream benzes. Except for the ignition, they go out often on Crossfires/SLKs and cost a grand to replace. Left me stranded too.
My only words of warning would be to make sure the ignition isn't "sticky" and I'd recommend it. Because otherwise its great!
